The Cart Shed was founded nearly 9 years ago as a campfire conversation with friends. Since the beginning, our commitment is to use the best of locally farmed & wild food, much of which is produced here on our farm. The kitchen is mostly wood fired and thus environmentally friendly as all our wood comes from sustainably managed woodland in England.


 William has been the head chef and owner since the beginning, his love of wild food and wild places has very much shaped the menus since its launch.

Our motto "a dinner party without the preparation" this means that when you arrive to dine with us, take a seat and our team will talk you through tonight's menu, and take the upmost care of you.


Due to the nature of the restaurant, we change the menu regularly. Typically this consists of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desert options plus our dry aged steak & venison grill menu. You will find an example menu on the website.
